Hmm... this chapter made me hopeful that Kon didn't get disintegrated but instead was absorbed into the creature with memories of her human life etc. Maybe that's why everyone on the island, except for her family (and even that one is somewhat suspicious) were ignoring her and the dog was barking at her.

What I am trying to say is, she was a walking seaweed all along!

I kinda hoped the supernatural side of the story would have stayed really subtly and/or sparse (leaving it to the readers to speculate), but it looks like we're going full manga now. Would have been a tough job to pull off right though, so I don't blame author for going this direction.

Yuri Kaiju Twin Peaks continues to thrill and confuse. For all the budding romance in this chapter, those panels with the great grandmother had a real tragic ache to them. The two girls' reaction to the diary couldn't be more different and a little jarring: Mari melting into a horny gay puddle and Fuu entirely focused on going back into the hole to find out what happened to Kon. I've suspected Kon is another avatar of the monster for a bit now but this chapter confirmed many of my suspicions. Perhaps the monster is ancient god that is no longer loved or worshipped, so she's looking for love in her own flawed and dangerous way.
