For once the chapter number is clearly stated, so I renumbered all chapters past 20.

Publication shenanigans (hiatus, half chapter not published and finally fused with the next chapter this month, complete chapters being only 13 pages...) and the fact chapter numbers were never mentioned in the mag led to confusion. I've renumbered the chapters according to my understanding of what Hattori Mitsuru posted on his twitter.

... alright this is certainly a plot development.
I had my guesses that Kon was linked to the monster / a manifestation of the monster for a bit so I'm happy to see the story progressing this way. But where do we go now? Is Furuka going to reject Kon? Why? I can't imagine a good reason (except for the icky digestive fluids... and the whole eating/kidnapping thing).

Is that tentacle coming out of her butthole?

I doubt it just based on Furuka’s arm. She clearly lost it, and it’s growing back, but not fully, yet. Too convenient to blindly accept it as reality, but not convenient enough for a dream.

If we go with the assumption that Kon was part of the monster all along, maybe they created her to seek companionship from the islanders. Maybe their consciousnesses are connected, but Kon is her own independent personality. Then Furuka enters the picture. Both Kon and the monster fall for her, so the monster reabsorbs Kon in order to lure Furuka to them so they can keep her for themselves. But she brought others with her, and dissolving her arm was probably an accident trying to seperate her from the others and expel the intruders. I think it made a space within its own body for her, trying to make her as comfortable as possible while also restoring her body.

What happens next is complicated. It didn’t seem like she had any attachments to the outside world but can she continue to live like this knowing where she is and who Kon is? How independent is Kon, and does she and the monster want different things for, and from, Furuka? Then, there’s auntie and how she reacts to what she saw happen to Furuka. What’s her next course of action? Will she walk away, try to get Furuka back, or seek revenge?

Furuka wasn't the bully. The bully was the girl that Kon "sent flying" at the beginning who was supposedly "badly hurt", but then suddenly was fine and crushing hard on Furuka. This manga does take too long between chapters and the art style doesn't really help to avoid that kind of confusion.
