Shouldn't it be Marika-san for formal and just Marika for casual after receiving permission from her? Seems like despite having Super Strength Marika doesn't have the experience or resolution to fight and kill even monsters which was why she was in trouble with the white ape. Poor Gashita, not only has trouble killing the monsters but finding them before MC does. Hopefully he'll mature soon and work on improving himself rather than getting angry and/or jealous and focusing on ranks. After all, ranks just shows how well person did completing guild missions, not true strength. Good MC following to help out, but considering his all-rounder specialties shouldn't he bring a shield or another weapon too? Just a sword is going to limit him to Slash techniques when should bring a shield for Guard techniques since the monster is so powerful it needs multiple B and C ranks working together to defeat it.
Btw, speaking of monsters, shouldn't the MC have had experience dealing or encountering them since was part of the Demon army rather than being completely ignorant? After all, if part of the army encountered a monster they would have brought useful parts back to be used and talk about it's attack patterns, strategy to defeat it, etc. That or at least handling the paperwork about it. Although could just be the stuff showing up around the village are different species than the ones he encountered in Demon Lands. On the other hand the village doesn't seem that far from the Demon Capital considering he ran into Marika after walking for just a day or two.

makes me sad because this manga seems super weird/whack (e.g. the -san reversal and the panel where the dad is hurting his back) but its hard to tell whether the mangaka is trying to make some satirically surreal isekai or if its just some mainland chinese storefront tier translations

If the kid gets killed it still would be great. kinda like reminding the cm that it isn't always straight forward, and the kid in his dying moments would then begin a monologue about how he regrets being arrogant and whatnot, he says sorry then passes away with a smile. probably not gonna happen , but for me that makes it more "real"? or meaningful as to the reality of living in that world, but other than that, men's greatest achievement is probably emulating life and its beauty no matter how disproportionate the ratios may be. I mean anime/manga breast are weird, but everybody likes them
