If it wasn't for the oath collar, I would've preferred him to be dead & see if he'll retain his memories in the next loop. It is also sad seeing Fiona's feelings on demons because if only she knew what kind of fate she will have if not for Albus being on the mission to prevent it. Thanks for the translations.

Maybe it’s the more modern concept of “independent contractor”.

After all there are no whips or punishment, but the situation compels the individual to work their hardest for an absurd number of hours and spend their own resources to achieve the goal, while the one who assigns the job gets to reap the benefits with minimal fuss and expenditure.

That's actually an interesting question.
Do we consider the demon king as the whole soul + possessed body? Or just the soul that takes possession of a human body to fully manifest?
I bring it up more as "no I wont hurt these human bandits" and "I swore not to arm humans so in this clutch moment I can't kill the demon king for you" or some such. Seems like an obvious setup for a convoluted betrayal.
