The story is slow, but the mangaka is masterful in drawing different characters with their different personalities. And super-plus-point for having a beastgirl that is not just a human cosplaying.

Accuracy in smithing aside, there is clear development in inter-character dynamics. Less so in personal character development, though.

The world-building is good; not awesome, but really good, and everything makes sense logically with nary any internal inconsistencies.

If I have to complain about this, is the veeeeery slow update rate. Like, uh, 2 months per chapter?? Gosh... But seriously, the story is so captivating for me that any new chapter is a celebration.

For the story, I really don't care much for romance or any adult-y harem, um, "activities". As in, good if it happens, but if it doesn't, I'm okay. After all, this is the life of an isekai'd blacksmith, not the life of "isekai'd hero ending up with a harem".

This one scores a solid "9" for me.

It's a nice peaceful slop manga to read. Although it's about smithing, there really isn't actual much smithing you'll be looking at. It's more or less about a slice of life manga about a dude who has cheat skills, and uses those cheat skills to smith, along with his female companions.

There's a lot of small fan service design choices, like every single female side or supporting character always has cleavage unnecessarily shown. Like it makes zero sense for a dwarf to basically be wearing a bikini top as her main mode of wear when you're blacksmithing. Blacksmiths typically wear heat resistant clothing to protect themselves from the intense heat radiating, and from the sparks and other things that fly while smithing, including accidental touches from the extremely hot things they're working with. Not that I'm complaining, but a lot of the design choices really scream "fan service" more than logical clothing wear for their profession or situation.

Also, there's not a lot of inherently bad people in the manga, basically none if I remember correctly. Hence why It's a peaceful, feel good type of manga you mindlessly read without worrying having to feel negative emotions. People of this universe seem to just all be naturally good natured. In other isekais, you always get comical villains, or at least people that treat the MC with suspicion or wariness. Like for example, entry guards being suspicious of the MC who's come out of nowhere with no identification, or merchants who try to take a little advantage in their dealings with the MC, etc. Everyone is too forthright and nice to a fault here, and too trusting. But I guess that's what makes it a peaceful and feel good read.
