Nah I wish that's all it was, but if you check out the future untranslated chapters on the authors Twitter, you'll see that Ibuki is infatuated with this new guy and loses all interest in her childhood friend Tomoaki. It sucks but that's the direction that this lame ass author wants to go in. It's not a love story about Ibuki and Tomoaki, it's about Tomoakis one sided crush and Ibuki finding love with this new annoying character who's better than Tomoaki apparently.

Initial premise is a Dude who gets teased by his younger girlfriend. Now it’s Dude who is surrounded by girls who are in love with him and his girlfriend who’s also there sometimes.

For context, they started an arc about them trying to have their first kiss. That was about 100 chapters ago and has yet to be resolved.

What can men do against such reckless hate?

It's story itself setting the doom and gloom with every little tidbit (like the horoscope and soulmate stuff). You can't really blame the reader for lashing out immidiately upon seeing those since we've seen this happening hundreds of times. Baiting is as hated as the real thing most of the time.

I don't know about the japanese in general, but one trope I dislike is how superstitious they are in Manga. I get it that is just kids, but it happens all too often.

Tomo is great and he loves Ibuki, but to say that he's a bit dense is an understatement. Our poor guy needs a good push (or a kick in the ass) if he wants to be in a serious relationship with Ibuki. This may be what makes Tomo realize his own feelings.

I think that people tend to forget that these are high schoolers and they're prone to have multiple crushes. She can like MC and still be interested in the new guy. It happens, as they're teens and full of hormones. Thanks for the chapter!!!

Thats not true, it was MC-kun that made her blush. The new guy let her alone as soon as he saw that she was with someone.

I’m still reading the Kouhai one that turned into a harem, hoping fruitless for more chapters with the main couple. No spoilers but there have been discussions in previous chapter’s comments that give me a little hope at least. That said there’s always that feeling of dread whenever a new character is introduced that feels aimed towards one of the leads because more often than not it’s a signal that all progress will be taking a break for an extended time.
