Childhood trauma tends to be the one that sticks with us the most, for better or for worse, which is something I can comprehend because of my own experiences. That said, I'll also say in the same sentence that by this point she's old enough to at the very least have a talk about preconceived biases that may or may not be universally applicable (in this case, clumping together in a negative way what effectively amounts to half of the world's population).Hang on, what? As others have said, the relative ages can have a big effect, but let's not discount the fact the she's a woman herself. Men will have an element of "otherness" that wouldn't apply to women, especially in a culture where traditional gender roles are given so much importance like Japan.Hang on, what?
