People like drama. People like men fighting for a girl. People like spice. That's pretty much it.I can't fathom why else it would be so common and predictable
I genuinely can not understand people who think like you. I’ve never read a single story that introduced a third wheel and responded with anything but a groan (unless the MC/FMC really sucks). I read couple focused romances for the couple, if a third wheel is introduced all it every does is grind things to a halt to pad run time. If the artist really wants to draw more cute characters then introduce a side couple or something, baiting just to force misunderstandings and drama has been so done to death there’s not even a dead horse left to beat.People like drama. Obviously, I know this is bait and nothing will come of it. But I grew up with Latino telenovelas, so this is right up my alley.
That's fine, it's not like I'm looking for understanding from people on the internet. All I'm saying is that this trope is something a lot of people like because of its nature. It's not an uncommon PoV, otherwise, romance as a whole wouldn't keep using them, and obviously, this goes both ways—just as I enjoy a male third wheel, I enjoy a female third wheel.I genuinely can not understand people who think like you.
