Thanks for the chapter.
Im wanted to be positive for once because i thought the height thing was kinda cute but that whole situation reminded me that ibuki still hasnt, to my knowledge, complimented tomo out loud where he can hear it (except when she was delirious du to sickness). My read is that the "cool" persona is so important to her as a shield that shes unwilling to let any cracks show in it even for the guy shes supposedly in love with, but it is getting infuriating.
That aside it was a neat chapter and i hope akari works her magic in the next so that these two finally get together

Ibuki's height is 6'
Tomo is currently 5'8" he was 5'7"
Tsugumi is 6'2"
For reference, Sakaki from Azumanga Dioh is only 5'8½"

My hope/belief is that new guy is just kinda piecing together the fact that our main characters are into each other and will become a true wingman

People complaining every time they perceive what they believe to be the slightest threat to their canonical interpretation of the main couple? People complaining every time they perceive what they believe to be the slightest threat to their canonical interpretation of the main couple.
Please, learn a little about critical reading and narrative. Maybe then you would understand that you can't make a serialized story without conflict (what you usually call “unnecessary drama”) and that yes, this drama is necessary and serves one or more purposes.
Thank you for the translation! :hearts:

Untrue. There are plenty of fluffy rom coms out there with little to no drama

What I'm saying is that people misuses the term "drama" for the minimum deviation of what they perceive as their OTP. Conflict (or "drama" if you prefer) is sum of the events that challenges the current narrative status quo and serves as a change for the character/s. It can be a slightest one in a fluffy setting or a really dramatic one (the death of a character). Introducing a new character is not a bad resource. It opens new possibilities interacting with the established cast. But in every series I see the same reaction: people responding like zealots as soon as a new character appears, without seeing how they would be developed and how they'll affect the story and the characters.
PD: Even fluffy rom coms have conflict. It's not a flashy one, though.
PD2: This is gonna end in the usual flame, so I'm out. Peace!

if the author gonna put the new guy as a rival anyway, let tomo with the junior. Prefer it that way anyway

That mask is gonna be an EXCELLENT disguise. Who could EVER guess that the 6' 1/2" person following them around carrying a girl's bag over their shoulder is Ibuki?
