Got my hand on the English 3rd volume couple days ago.
Turns out.... there, Koi-chan's name was translated as Love-chan.

I was like, oh man... I really really don't like that.
I would have preferred her name to be left as Koi-chan.

I'm not saying it but, there's been an effort english localizers have been doing to amerify anime and manga, like literally translating names as english equivalents such as koi, you can see it happen more obvious in chainsawman wish kiga being turned into fami and shin-chan/san being turned into lil'd (ugh)

Overtranslation is a fucking plague.

Those are a little different though, since their names are concepts and losing that in translation hinders the understanding of the story.
I disagree with what they chose, but I get why they chose something.

Seems like that would simply invalidate the steps taken in the plot up to this point, and I can't recall the last time I saw that path taken that didn't result in someone being left "on the outside" in an unbalanced situation.
Not saying it's impossible, but "make them a throuple" feels like a copout answer, more often than not, instead of taking the mature path of "heartbreak is a reality and is a part of growing up".

Arguing for a potential poorly written situation is just trash talk. Move on.

That is not more "mature". If you insist that suffering is more mature than not, you don't know what maturity is.

Don't ask for both narrative payoff and realty in the same argument. Narrative payoff is not realistic.

That said, I never said they absolutely should. I said they should consider it. Considering alternative options is the mature path, as it shows you're not narrow-minded.
