If author's could just have their MCs do stuff of their own volition, that'd be great.
Instead we get yet another instance of a character clearly stating to be against doing something and someone else is just saying: "Completely disrespecting everything you just said, you're doing this thing, I decided"

Would be cool if his manga got rejected again, which could lead to her cooling down a bit, seeing as her hyper attitude just basically crushed the guy's hopes. Maybe a bit of self-doubt, but nothing to existential that could ruin the vibes of the story. Just her realizing that going for 120% all the time maybe isn't the best for everyone.
I mean, I don't mind her being this energetic, but it would be a nice switch-up.

He could say "no" to her at any point in the story this time. He's only going with her plan because he knows it's what he needs to be doing. It ain't Nagatoro Volume One.If author's could just have their MCs do stuff of their own volition, that'd be great.

You really think this MC has the guts to just say no? He didn't even get the chance to respond to this demand at all. We immediately skip to a panel showing him being on the way clearly conflicted about it.
It's quite obvious that the author wanted to have their MC get his new manga looked at by an editor. However, instead of using this for some character development by having the MC make this decision by himself, we get this crap.
It's just bad writing imo.

Damn bro it’s chapter 5, there’s enough chapters later for him to develop. Also he’s just nervous which makes complete sense

The art in this one is next level. The poses, expressions, the panels when he was in the toilet. Just wow

There's some character development for the MC. He could've just walked away yet he pushed through because "Negative Thinking is now forbidden." A callback to what the FeMC said in chapter 3. She also said his first name, which she couldn't in the previous chapter. Sure, the development is slow but it's there.
for this chapter only, it's not bad writing. but, if we look at the connection from past chapters, it's just weird. but don't worry about that, it can be explained later chapter (or not). It's a hard challenge for people trying 0->100 change in just one night (they would be very nervous). But hold on, it's not one night as explained in this chapter. His growth is skipped from the reader

This is a moment for character development.
MC is clearly traumatized by the idea of rejection to the point that he won't present his manga which he worked hard on. She knew he's lying about it being a manga for himself and gave him the push to do what he needs to do. He didn't say no because he didn't have the guts or didn't get the opportunity to do so, he didn't because he knew she's right and she's just helping him.
He is afraid but he is still going through with it. And that's development.
