And then we should get to see the merchants arriving, maybe get a few more side-characters, learn a few interesting details that are plot relevant.... And THEN we go to the Duchess.

Either Editor-kun is pushing the mangaka a bit too hard, the the mangaka doesn't quite know how to pace a story.

Hard agree. For something that has title of living leisurely, it is not leisure at all.

You have MC with direct speed dial to gods. MC have agriculture blessing but it rarely shows & only mentioned. There is no charm except for the Fenrir.

The way the story goes, it probably gonna be the Human nation is hit by famine now attacking other nation for food.

It quickly turn into power fantasy manga where MC just collect thropy wives. Next probably going to be MC marry the human & demon princess and solve the world hunger and no more wars.

Nah, the old man has a valid concern. The location is both a major source of resupply and the staging area for the coming invasion of the demon nation. Their navy spent considerable resources in subduing the islands and frankly should have a rather heavy presence to ensure it stays under their control.

But as this is a manga that doesn't require deep thought, many of the realities of functional governmental and war time practices are ignored because it is beyond the author's ability understand let alone properly portray.

You honestly need no further example then how the invasion of the islands was described. Half the population was slaughtered, their supplies were pillaged, and the survivors were all but enslaved. Yet in complete contrast their virgin queen is happily getting married and living the SoL dream with the isekai MC.

Logic means little when confronted with manga logic.

nah this how its paced in Wn too, i actually surprised how this stay same to WN and almost no editing done at all
