huh, guess chapter 2 mistranslated it since they said "we'll model them after someone else's actual grandparents" but they did mention getting permission, so there is that?
also it says they're dead, so i assume they meant parents there too

don't remember the other instances the grandparernts are brought up, so oh well lol

Because apparently it's used as a coffee-substitute in real life. They even roast the roots like you would with coffee beans before brewing them. But it's brewed like tea - it has to steep for ten minutes before it's ready.
