I think her character didn't really reach that point until she became friends with Takata. Definitely a good one though.

To be fair, he does have a point about the risk being to great even for the Yakuza. One girl is one thing, but 18 brings way too much attention to them for no reason.

But it is still weird how they immediately pivot to him. One false testimony and the detective is ready to go, didn’t even take time to do some background checking, some preliminary investigations, see if he has any affiliations of note, nope straight to questioning.
