I'm conflicted here. On the one hand I'm glad that misunderstanding is finally out of the way. But on the other hand this happening so soon also means the story is close to an end, or there will now be alternative sources of tension - like what if she still refuses to believe him after all that, and then coming up with all sorts of excuses to still not be with him. @morooster Been discussed before... She came from his hometown. Last time he was there, he had an affair with his fathers mistress years ago... which is about same number as her age +1. And the clincher... look at the authors other works and the theme of his other works. I like this story and would like a normal type ending. But with the authors other past stories, I'm waiting for the blindsided punch soon to find out her mother is the woman he slept with.
