I had a similar experience in middle school, gave it all to basketball, was the captain for a while then everyone on the team got significantly taller, and many more athletic than me (honestly, I could have trained harder), then I started with some health problems and stopped playing. Eventually I did returned to the team in high school and all the guys were really nice to me, we had a few giants that helped us win many games and even a few local tournaments.

Being over 2 meters tall also helps. Unfortunately, a much as I would like to see an underdog come up top, it's damn near impossible to make plays if everyone around you blocks without even trying.

I feel bad for our short king, there's not much you can do if your body just can't keep up with the sport you love.
