I don’t understand what Reina was trying to achieve with this meetup in the first place. Is she just trying to lose her label as a cheater by debating the definition of cheating?

She only held hands and did anal, so in the eyes of the catholic church it doesn’t count so it’s fine?

They were together for a long time, she knew where the MCs boundaries were and she crossed them knowingly and purposely. That’s the only definition of cheating you need.

That said MC having a smoke show of a female friend obviously made Reina insecure and he didn’t seem to do anything to alleviate Reina’s anxiety. That’s also a boundary.

It also didn’t help that Reina was getting her head filled with the dogshit advice from Natsuki, who is objectively a total bitch who never liked the MC and I’m sure also has a grudge against Ayaka.

So in the end MC was too close to Ayaka for Reina’s comfort so:

1. Reina started skipping their dates and ignoring his messages (giving MC more time to spend with Ayaka). Good job.

2. Then when they were together she talked shit about MC and made him feel unwanted and small. This combined with #1 was already making the MC think that their relationship was in trouble and that she maybe was involved with someone else.

3. Reina is out holding hands, by her own volition, and up real close with another man in their anniversary.

All of that was influenced by Natsuki, but Reina made the decision to listen instead of talking to MC.

Reina has to be the stupidest person alive to do all that instead of just having it out with the MC. She wasted both of their time and emotional energy because they should have just fought and broke up right at step #1.

They never should have stayed together that long, period.

I really love this series. It presents characters as actual adults, adults who have adult reactions and interactions, and keeps on theme of discussing complex and realistic subjects - in fact this one chapter, we find out the dumbass situation and how she thought "only holding hands" wasn't cheating, but most of us would consider that cheating on some level for sure. Next we hopefully get to see what exactly led to that situation (I assume Ayaka, in some way), but either way emotional cheating, holding hands with someone else in that fashion, whatever it is, can and usually is cheating.

I mean, I also like this series a lot but hard disagree on characters being presented as actual adults with adult reactions and interactions. Most subjects also are rather superficial in what they truly are and mostly shallow in how they are explored.

This series does only function because they all are overexaggerated stereotypical !young! adults, overly self-confident, self-preserving or pseudo intellectual (like the cringe cheater bitch this chapter).
What was this creepy snooty "explanation" and way of treating MC? What was her purpose this chapter? She legit acted mentally impaired, lol.

This chapter won't change my rating but it was pretty weird and kinda unsatisfying but, alas, nothing can explain what she did away anymore after this chapter- major L for the dirty cheater and a win otherwise IMO.

considering how the story had started I thought it would be some lame miscommunication, but after I saw how much the author implied there is something more I decided to check it out, just to see it is even worse ?
so she initiated just because she thought what she is doing is proper and did this while she is passing mc's home and did nothing for to fix it because she thought she is completely in the right, yeah author should just find a new hobby imo
tbf I didnt have hope for the plot at all but was here for the calm moments, but author is just adamant about making this about the story for some reason and all he offers as story is just tangled up mess off a drama
most of what is happening is drama and as all drama's are written it is forced into the story and the author has to change up the story for it to fit the drama and the drama is absolutely mild, its not like I want to read heavy drama but what is the purpose if it doesnt make viewers engaged anyways ?
this manga is really bad overall and it fails at what it is trying to achieve every time
I can read bad manga as long as it has something worthwhile, but there is nothing to do for the likes of these
just set the mangaka free at this point
