i get what the author is going for here, but i GOT to know why they chose to frame it as NTR, knowing that people don't really respond kindly to that kind of premise...
TL is correct here... don't just steal someone else's gf if YOU like them, and DONT go on a date with someone who stole ur gf lol...
its just the lack of common sense between these three characters that make this plot so contrived. i find that more irritating than the actual "NTR"...

The girl is not "got stolen", they just play game that if the mc is believe and loyal to his gf now ex and really reject this cool looking girl that like mc cuz she got saved by mc when she was little and she see the mc having a gf and for whatever reason when this 2 girl talk they make this game cuz the gf girl is a lil bit of a red flag (wanna have perfect bf while somehow not considerate abt the boy's feeling).

Also, mc is like a rope getting pulled all direction and getting tangled without a care in mind and just letting it all go like that, and is not the "good" or "make sense" kind of mc. He basically almost enjoy this if he really wanna get involved with anything like this (he is what i will categorize as kind isekai mc protag level of making me irritate the hell out of his action and decision, like got convinced to not killing an assassin trying to kill you and now the said assassin is doing it again but now there is a damage being done level of kind. HE IS KIND! ALMOST TO THE POINT OF SUICIDAL)

People are able to give 8+ to mangas containing full frontal rapes, tortures and aggression without a particular good story, and this one which is rather harmless such a bad rating? Goes to show not to trust users ratings, I guess.

I thought what it would be and it is what I thought and maybe better is why there are 8+ on full on "red tags" because they are actively seeking for it, I came looking for romance comedy but the opening chapter got so hard on the drama it became a dark jokes only selected people can stomach.

I can give them the benefit of the doubt and say that they (like myself) thought this will be something like u got a gf but now this gf is "actively" seeking the new cool girl's attention and u are at the radar of this cool girl. It's the weird mix of thing and the line is clear so there is comedy in here.
If only we can see that the ex gf is weirdly attached to the cool girl like how this cool girl is sooo attached to the mc, and the sprinkle of comedy spark can make some good spark.

My only gripe (if you can callit that) with the author is the decision to include a foreshadowing hard line drama in a romcom expected situation.

would be at the end of the month MC rejects handsome girl, his ex shows up all like “yay you passed my test” or whatever her game is, and MC shuts her down too, tells them they’re both shit people and then short time skip sees him with a new girl and Handsome girl tries to pick her up and she straight up declines her.

Or you could actually go in and read the first chapter's discussion thread and see why people rated it as it is, instead of arguing with a strawman.

I don't disagree, but you can read that like any pop-corn manga without getting particularly emotionally involved.
