It is genuinely impressive how thoroughly unlikable everyone is in this series. Ena is a flaky, flip-flopping cheater who can't make up her mind on which one she wants to date or how she feels about her erstwhile lover, Shizuno is a scheming, conniving snake who cannot go ONE chapter without pulling some harebrained stunt that should at the very least discomfort, if not outright disgust anyone even remotely capable of voicing their opinion (her outright bullying the last fortune teller into getting a result resembling what she wants after several other fortune tellers told her the facts as they were, i.e., she and Souta have zero compatibility, comes to mind), and, well, I've made my stance on Souta abundantly clear by now.
I'm calling it now, come the end of the series, assuming it doesn't get axed like it deserves, these three dogs will end up in a throuple. Ena's still clearly hung up on him, Shizuno's obviously into him and Souta doesn't have the balls to turn one of them down. And there will be much lamenting.

I didn’t see it happening before, but this chapter makes me think otherwise. Ena and Shizuno were friends before this mess started, Ena asked who Shizuno liked and when it turned out to be mr. Pushover Ena was too weak willed to tell Shizuno no. Shizuno then got this hairbrained scheme in her head. Ena pretends to break up with him for a month, Shizuno in this time “helps him become a better boyfriend” for Ena, while also making him like her, then they end up in a “happy” throuple. A manipulative bitch, a weak willed and afraid of confrontation woman, and a man trapped by choice.

The even worse part, is when you realize he's written this way because he's meant to be identified with by the reader base.
