I mean it's their usual song and dance when the topic of 'liking' comes up, even without the Japanese the vague meaning is still their. I've seen such expressions used in American media too, so nothing really lost in translation here

The easiest flow given this chapter would be him getting scholarship for sport and go to different highschool than her.

Then after highschool she'd likely have more freedom to move for college and aim for the one he's going.

I read it but don't remember so I re-read a few chapters.... But no mentions of this fact yet....

Moto never said anything like that, in fact with their age and Chie's age, it's very probably that Takagi got pregnant right at the end of high school.
