Why do romance mangas always end at the confession man

I realize this is the most obvious difference between shounen and shoujo romcom storytelling.
Shounen pushed the confession until the end that it usually ended at the confession or one arc after that (e.g

Nisekoi, Kubo

).
Shoujo on the other hand gave the confession early and show how they overcome the challenges in their relationship (e.g

Hibi Chouchou, Oremonogatari

).
