Why should you prioritize your friend's happiness over yours? Especially if it's explicitly you sacrificing your happiness for your friend? Other than a joking connection to "the ways of NTR", I think it's completely ok to try to get your crush to fall in love with you, even if they have another person they like. It's not even morally questionable at this point in her friend's "relationship" with the senpai.
