It's certainly a concrete risk that some random doofus with take a photo, naturally without asking for consent, and post it on social media, probably for ridiculing purposes.

The people looking at Subaru, from their own point of view, might have just been admiring a tall statuesque pretty lady . But, from Subaru' s view point, who is low on his self confidence- as it was his first time publicly crossdressing - those looks would feel completely differently. Hopefully as this story continues we will see this potential explored further.

And those tools taking photos of Subaru and Kasane without consent were completely out of line.

Some of them mentioned that he might be a guy, though, so I don't think it was entirely in his head. And to be honest, I read several of these crossdressing manga and I find it a little implausible that the end result would always be so good that literally nobody even suspects that they might be crossdressing. It's not that trans people can't become indistinguishable from people who are biologically their gender, but if you just dress up and put makeup on, the physique of your biological gender will still be fairly apparent if someone pays attention. I appreciate that it seems this one is a little more realistic, but in most manga it's just stated how the crossdressing person is so pretty they look like exactly like a girl if they just put a wig on, which I think is just very rarely the case.
