Cmon, it's a HUGE kindling. How can they leave that, if they are specifically concealing their presence?
It's not that huge, that's how close she looked at it, when they pull back in the next image, the piece is the size of a finger.

It's not about how close perspective was, i was measuring it compared to the hand holding it. And no, it's much bigger than the size of a finger. Length - yes, but for the width you would need to put something like 7 of her fingers together in a bundle to imitate it. Just look at it, if she makes a fist - that's about the size of that thing.

It's a tight rope to walk on. In a casual converstion between two people who both know what they're talking about, they don't explain things in minute detail to eachother, because they both know the other one knows. But if you do that poorly the audience isn't going to understand.
I guess the huge kindling is mostly because there's an author and an artist and they're separate people, there are deadlines and everything and sometimes the artist will not capture exactly what the author had in mind.
Yes, but the problem is that it's a casual conversation inside a manga, that's supposed to give info to the reader. There is a reason why manga/anime character famously often go into "explanation" in a middle of battle, or stating obvious things when in real life those statements would be really weird. And a reason is because manga/anime is limited in what they can show, not every frame is super detailed for us to find clues by ourselves. We won't know whether it's an absolutely clean ground, because how thoughtfully they cleaned a camp, or because author didn't mean to imply that camp was cleaned, and clean ground is just "lack of details" in common drawing of background.
If we change "but it seems too clever for them" into "but remains seems to be concealed, which is too clever for them" - it will perfectly explain situation to the reader without leaving them to guess, and will not be strange for a casual conversation.

Can someone refresh my memory on who Robery is? I don't remember him at all
And he was the one to duel with Kuruni, the loli petite zweihander wielder girl. His specialty is poison attacks.

As a former HEMA practitioner... There are some fencing panels and sequences in the manga that are practically orgasmic compared to the usual slop you see in just about any form of media.
"Orgasmic" is not something you will commonly find as a form of praise, and I orgasmically agree with it.

Well, a dangerous enemy is a dangerous enemy, so I think he'll do it if he has to, and if talking doesn't work.
Beryl has a strong sense of duty, and I think he would find disrespectful to his sword to not fight "seriously"

Robery. Isn't that the holy knight from the previous shitty bishop? I didn't expect to see him again in this arc.
