Thanks for the chapter! I went back and read the whole thing up to this chapter today.
A quick Googling says that most users can get 50 yards (45 meters) with no issues on a calm day, and this shooter is supposed to be good at this, so I'd say 80 yards (73 meters)—which normal people practice from for shits and giggles—should be doable for them, and that'd be the next street over with modern roads even when you take into account things like the distance from the roof on one side of the street to the other.
What I'm getting at is, if this assassin really is an expert, I feel like they should have tried this from at least a street over, which would be much harder to spot. And if they're not an expert, what are they even doing here?
That's with normal bows... And firing ballistically. And.....about 12 other variables... including the fact that you can see the arrow coming for well over a second at those ranges.A quick Googling says that most users can get 50 yards (45 meters) with no issues on a calm day, and this shooter is supposed to be good at this, so I'd say 80 yards (73 meters)—which normal people practice from for shits and giggles—should be doable for them, and that'd be the next street over with modern roads even when you take into account things like the distance from the roof on one side of the street to the other.

What's even cooler were how the knight's abilities got even higher after Beryl become their special instructor, and the mangaka really show it in this chapter. That was crazy. I didn't see anything like this in the LN version.God it wild how much better this is from the anime and novel. Amazing what good direction and paneling can do. Also the fact it isn't just the MC Beryl doing all the work literally the knights and order are super competent and aren't dumbed down just for Beryl to shine. If anything because of how good they already are it makes him look that much more monstrous.
I found the artists's pixiv account https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/62614515For real, for the manga to be the best iteration of the story is quite an achievement for the manga artist.
I think this is their twitter:I found the artists's pixiv account https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/62614515
I'd love to know what their career was, they seem like they posted a bunch of doodles, disappeared for 4 years, and suddenly they're drawing this manga at professional quality.
that is very long time, i remember my artist friend changed massively in just 2 years. That 4 years he must have been locking in, not just on the art departement. But the storytelling too. Honestly, even his composition is also great.I found the artists's pixiv account https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/62614515

I am so glad i didn't touch that anime.Even with mid LN writing and a shitty anime adaptation, the manga artist managed to make it shine through his narration and panel working alone.
Looks like a regular girl to me.By the looks of it, yes, but that "chan" was very sus this chapter. Maybe it is a loli.
Guys the assassin needed to confirm with the spy that it was TRULY the Prince on the horse before even attempting the shot... There was a whole sequence of hand signs! They were literally caught while confirming the Prince's attendance. It wasn't even a matter of whether the crossbow was at a suitable distance or had enough draw power, Beryl is that much of a beast in perception.A quick Googling says that most users can get 50 yards (45 meters) with no issues on a calm day, and this shooter is supposed to be good at this, so I'd say 80 yards (73 meters)—which normal people practice from for shits and giggles—should be doable for them, and that'd be the next street over with modern roads even when you take into account things like the distance from the roof on one side of the street to the other.
