It's an ok series so far, but I have read a bunch of series with middle-aged characters like this and I'm starting to get a little sick of how "Durrr I'm just an old man" and how unconfident they are even though they've had some success in life.
I know it's a reflection of their target audience, but jeeeeeez. 🙄

It depends. Maybe village route is far from the highways to capital.

Sometimes people of village are not interested in city culture, they most of the time believe in their ways only, that might me the case too.
