Oh, healing! I was guessing fire cause they had a similar glow before their flaming arrow was shown. So I figured they were using magic to ignite their arrows and used it to cauterize his wound. Could be healing though as well, yeah! Would make sense since it's the church.

I mean, the fighting scenes are really cool, but to be honest, I have forgotten why they are all fighting…

The attacker are royal guards lead by their captain, disguised as a badass Battle Maid. The defender, and the ambusher, are the paid mercs to take out the royal prince. It is a raid on the enemy base situation.

Hinnis, the femboy archer we see here, got immediately caught by Berryl before even tried to shoot the prince in the last ch.

I must say, I preffer this over anime, why?

It's not even that some story bits are different. It's that the artist is just on another level. It looks SO MUCH BETTER. The battles have the flow, the movement, damn you can see the characters move in real time.

Anime would really need to pull OPM season 1 animation to compete.
