This was about as much effort as I was bothered to put in.

I mean, virginity is physiological? Women are born with a hymen whatever concepts of sexual morality their society subscribes to.
What about women that are born with a hymen that is open enough to not rip during sex (I am not sure, but i think some may be even born without one)? Would women stop being virgins if their hymen gets torn due to trauma (or masturbation)? Or would you consider women who went through hymenoplasty virgins?

You clearly just want to nitpick.

They are physiologically not virgins.

Sure. Same for any other sexual contact with the same result that does not include vaginal penetration with a penis.
Or would you consider women who went through hymenoplasty virgins?
Given that the other name for hymenoplasty is "virginity restoration", that is the intended conclusion.

This was about as much effort as I was bothered to put in.

Well, more like, was interested in your opinion on some edge cases. "Virginity"="having a hymen" does sound like a consistent logic, until you bring in the male virginity or anal/oral/whatever-non-vaginal virginity.
