I certainly haven't touched them up in any way. I spent actual money to buy this volume as well, so...

I think they meant the original art looks AI generated. Certainly the bodies are much more three dimensional and detailed than the heads, which are very flat and have hard edges.

They look like they don't fit together.

They look like they don't fit together.

I don't look at a lot of AI anime art so I could be wrong, but nothing in the shading on the clothes looks like it's melting. Maybe Aoki's pants? It generally seems to match the shading style used on the color page after it to me.

I would absolutely believe it's a paint-over of a stock photo of humans which is why the heads feel off.

I wasn't implying you did anything with it, I'm speculating the artist generated an AI image, cleaned up anything inconsistent, and added the characters' heads on top.

The way the lighting looks is very reminiscent of AI.
