I don't think the last line has to mean a love triangle. It could just be an unrequited (yet) love or something.

Since she likes board games, I was thinking maybe she meant she plays shogi too, like the male lead.

It’s funny how the crap in the authors other work makes me worry about that last line even though it’s almost certainly totally innocuous

Sometimes it takes a side character with an actual spine to move things along. (Though it isn't doing so hot over there...yet.)

Do you think she'll really make a move/admit her feelings without some external threat? The closest she's come to that to date is the "next Christmas" declaration (but he was already asleep).

Sort of thinking about Himari and Akane in I'm Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class. (I'm anime-only for now so don't spoil me.)

Agree. I was up until 5am a couple of days ago playing a game, went to bed, and then woke up just after 8am.
