You already stated the reason. "Fat Bastard". If he was good looking, she would read the whole thing and never block him.
Author does a good job reflecting reality in that point. That is how real life works. A good looking guy can try to flirt and a girl might just laugh it off, but if an ugly guy does it, she would ignore him completely or even call it sexual harrassment.

As much as I feel bad for Mob, I also can’t help but notice that it seems to have overshadowed the fact that, while most of the ghosts have been pretty sinister and gotten kids hurt, I’m pretty sure this is the first time we’ve properly seen one very explicitly try to murder kids.
