In most of these generic manga, the MC would just push off the problem and cause more misunderstandings that gradually get worse, however he acted rationally, talked it out, and saved it early on. I’m with everyone that is bothered by being ghosted for 2 weeks. A couple of days is the max that is ok if you’re mad when you’re going out with someone. At least if she said something like “I left message for you where I was” or “I told Nicole to message you” then she it would at least be something. She doesn’t sound like she’s gotten over anything and her jealousy will be an ongoing thing. He should’ve been honest and told her that her sister impersonated her on the phone and then dressed up as her to trick him and that’s how this all started. And who the hell is stalking him and constantly taking his pictures when he is with another girl!?! First it was her friend when they first met at the diner and then at the park with his sister. And who was helping Kurose-san lock them in that storeroom? There are some crazy people around.

We are reading the same manga. Everyone "understand" their mistake once they hurt their partner. Everything he did to handle the Maria Kurose situation was extremely poor towards his GF. Cheating is not the only way one can break a partner's trust.

Trust me on this one, don't go believing that "mature relationships" work like this, just saying sorry afterwards. The guy is a very good person overall, but at the moment he is a really bad BF, which is to be expected.

Honestly this whole plot with the twin sister is really poor and crappy writing, so we didn't need unnecessary and annoying drama on top of that.

"I have a trauma from when I was young for being rejected by a girl after she led me on... Oh what a surprise said girl transferred in our school just after I finally get a gf and she starts to lead me on again. Wow plot twist they are actually twin sister and she falls in love for me for real! Now I reject her and wow what a coincidence someone took a picture of us together and sent it to my gf!!"

I have no idea what the author was thinking with that plot but that was... interesting, let's say. It's like the author decided to pick every single cliche plot device he could possibly think of and mix them all together.

With that out of the way, can we now get back and focus on the story of a shy unpopular guy who is going out with a cute attractive gyaru who is actually very caring and pure but lost her self confidence after being used by guys for her body? Because that's like the only actually interesting part of this manga.

Thats true but remember, this is his first EVER relationship. You cant expect him to know what to do everytime, especially in the heat of the moment. He wrongly believed that his way wouldnt hurt anyone, got proved wrong and learned from it. They are both growing. Im sure him saying sorry wasnt enough either, as she still looked out of it, so they will probably go through a 'regaining trust' arc. He just needs some time to learn, thats all. I dont disagree that what he did was pretty bad tho.

Yes, we agree. I did say that he being a bad BF at the moment was to be expected, everyone needs to grow. I don't think there would be lingering trust issues in this story, it really seemed that the problem is behind them, unless new details are uncovered (like the fact that Kurose disguised herself as Runa to seduce him).

At the point wwphen he made that decison he didn't want to make things bad or worse between the sisters. I can see both sides. You'd want to know when your lover is with somone they had a crush on, but giving that information can itself cause issues with suspison and jealousy. More so when they know each other. Being sisters complicates things even more.

There's not a clear right or wrong answer so you just have to go with what feels right at the time and hope for the best.

Yeah so in the end I am dropping this. I got baited by the ruckus caused by the upcoming anime adaptation and thought I can read this if its wholesome and if the tragic background is that she had one BF who used her just for sex and dumped her. But to be introduced to the narrative that almost the entirety of the school male population were taking turns on asking her out, having sex then dumping her was not just shocking but plain sick as a narrative driver.

Then even if you wanted to think, "Sigh okay she was the school whore, but she's now genuinely trying to become a devoted girlfriend and experience love, like when Sasha Grey stopped being a porn star and tried to make it as a proper actor! Wholesome!" the author won't let you! No! We have to constantly be reminded she got railed by 70% of the school male population after anything wholesome happens between her and Ryuuto!

IIRC, the unofficial EN LN fanlation goes with "playboy". So that might be a little harsh.
