No like.. seriously, what is this manga trying to accomplish 🥲

One of the two has some questionable "love" where you can't be sure, if she actually likes Kasane, or is still projecting when every second sentence is comparing her to her sister still, while the other one is just straight up shipping her with others, when she was at somepoint supposed to have been in love with her, which is how it all started to begin with, no?

It feels less like the characters are struggling with their feelings and more like the author doesn't know which direction they want to go. Kasane wants Meguru to be happy, even if that means her role in her life is basically gone... But what in the world is going on with Meguru? Does she want Kasane to replace her sister, fulfill the space her sister filled, be with Kasane? The mixed signals from the last few chapters are INSANE.

The writing is taking a nosedive, and I hope it can sort itself out asap..

Meguru has already fallen in love with Kasane, so it’s not just about sisterly feelings anymore, and Kasane doesn’t know yet.

Meguru is emotionally stunted kasane. It's fairly obvious with how she behaves. That shit can be annoying as hell when you're in this limbo-zone but it's not like she hasn't been giving kasane hints. Kasane, get out of your head and pay attention dummy. Take the shot, V.

Meguru ain't makin any major contributions. She's a dweeb lol

Honestly feels like Meguru also doesn't know yet, looking at how she is acting 👀
She talks about loving her, yet she still keeps the sister comparisons coming in rapidfire
My very generous interpretation is that each of those is Meguru processing the differences between Kasane and her onee-chan in real-time, out loud, to try and parse her true feelings for Kasane and their validity and depth.

Her mistake, is saying nothing to Kasane about any of this in any clear way, and the one time she did this chapter, Kasane was in full Otaku Brain Mode, missed it, and Meguru started sulking at "being ignored" instead of just clarifying.
Which, I will blame her for that little instance, though she is a teenager who's coming off being sick, and it's a great way to keep this train rolling. She absolutely needs to actually sit down and talk to Kasane though before the latter pulls off her harebrained scheme to rope the onee-san back into Meguru's life.

I will say that I honestly get why Kasane's ex dumped her, and why she still gets annoyed at how she cares about Kasane to this day.
The poor idiot's just too easily influenced by her "glorification of yuri", to the detriment of her relationships, and she's clearly not learned from the mistakes of her previous relationship because she straight up shipped Meguru and the Idol That Meguru Hates a couple chapters ago, to the point she had a very creepy face on for two panels.
Just...she's very much acting like she doesn't want to be in a relationship, or at least not as much as she wants to spend time shipping every pairing of people she enounters under the Sun. Hopefully she gets disillusioned of that proclivity, because while I won't begrudge someone their hobby or interest when it's not hurting others, it's clearly having an ongoing adverse effect on her present circumstances and she's going to get burned if she keeps it up.

Oh no, oh no, Kasane is going to try to pull her yuri-brained siscon scheme while a frustrated Meguru attempts more and more over the top ways of getting through to her. I can't wait.

And to push back a little against comments above: I don't think its bad writing, its mostly Kasane being an idiot otaku who is bad at relationships. She's also using the oshi / shipping stuff to dissociate from her scary true feelings: that she's fallen in love with a high schooler. I don't expect the misunderstanding between the two of them to be dragged out for much longer. At least the pacing is better than the other yuri by this mangaka.

Kasane shielding herself from emotional hurt by retreating into her otaku defense while Meguru sends mixed signals because she lacked her much-overdue introspection? Business as usual then.

It's honestly the direction I was expecting it to go the moment Kasane was made to meet Hiromi, but maybe the time lag from the previous updates to the new update storm was what caused the pace to feel weird to me. It'll probably make more sense if I had read it through in one sitting.

You've been uploading multiple chapters in a row, get some well-deserved rest. Thanks for the chapters!

uugh. This is going to start annoying me. Actually honestly it already is. Just clear up the misunderstanding already.

I hate when misunderstandings get unnecessarily dragged on in a series

Ahh yeah you might be right. Coming back after half a year of no updates definitely makes a difference. Wouldnt feel as bad just picking the series up from the beginning.

Meguru realized she loves Kasane as Kasane, not as her sister. But Kasane still thinks that Meguru loves her as a sister; they are just misunderstanding each other.

We all know this misunderstanding is going to clear up at some point but for how long is this going to drag itself...! It's starting to get a bit frustrating

Both of them clearly harbor feelings for each other so I can only see a happy end, let's just be strong meanwhile they keep being dumb lesbians

The genre is a cesspool. The premises get more and more retarded to differentiate from each other and when, expectedly, the novelty runs out the whole thing seizes leaving you stranded in the middle of the desert.

This is a really weird story, and super unhealthy. At this point, it’s far from just an age-gap romance. It’s clearly about a young girl who is emotionally stunted and confuses different kinds of affection. I feel like the people who want Meguru and Kasane to be a couple are reading a different story.'

I think that people aren't seeing what Meguru is doing. She isn't constantly comparing her sister and Kasane, she is slowly realizing that she can be happy even without her sister and that she is happy being with Kasane, not because she's a stand-in for her sister, but because Kasane is Kasane.

You can see it in the taco rice scene. She wanted to eat taco rice because her sister used to make it for her and when Kasane did make it, it was not the same taco rice as her sister's, but she still enjoyed it. When Kasane asks her if it tastes the same as Hitomi-san's taco rice, Meguru says that it's really delicious but that it's a little different and ends with "...Strange." Kasane interprets this as her taco rice not being good enough because it's not the same as Hitomi-san's but I think it's pretty obvious that Meguru is just surprised how she can enjoy taco rice that is not prepared by her sister so much. (I can't believe I wrote a whole paragraph analyzing characters eating taco rice)

Meguru first thought that she couldn't be happy without her sister, then she thought that Kasane could be a stand-in for her because they look somewhat alike and now she's been slowly realizing that Kasane is nothing like her sister but that she doesn't mind that. She stopped seeing Kasane as a replacement for her sister and started seeing her for who she really is and she's confused because how can she love and be happy with a person that's not her sister?

I might've been generous with my interpretation. I don't think that Meguru is sending mixed signals so much as she's a emotionally stunted teenager (as some of you have pointed out) and up until now all her happy memories were tied to her sister so she can't help but mention her all the time. Anyways, I saw the raws for the next chapter and it's gonna be interesting that's for sure
