The tonal whiplash of this series is insane. Several chapters of family bonding; all his loved ones are dead and the main character kills literally the rest of the entire cast himself afterwards; fluffy moments with the funny cute talking animal that then brings him to a different kingdom after resetting the stakes.

Like, I get not every chapter after that can be doom and gloom, but damn that switched genres fast.
