"...She wields a blade so sharp it won't destroy any cells.", -That is retarded. Ironically, this is also one of the few series', where the 'grorious nippon steer katana capable of cutting reality itserf' would be even remotely fitting, yet isn't used (yet).

@alacaelum What is weirder is the supposed power balance between the factions. There is allegedly one, but the kitsune keep just half-assedly shitting on everyone and everything with tiny operative cells. Why didn't they take control of the entire Japan before this, as they very apparently could have done so without a second thought. At first, the quality of the writing and world building were very commendable, but after the first few arcs has incrementally imploded more and more. The cracks in the setting are showing more and more, but I hope it doesn't shatter completely.

@Qwormuli Yes, exactly that. The story clearly implies that there is a balance of power between the kemono factions, but much before the crazy bitch started gathering the stones she clearly already had the military power to simply sent two maniacs and they are enough to kill entire villages or facilities of other kemonos, if she was using the humans as she has the "mind control" stone i could understand, this would mean she was using might and smarts to topple the other faction, but this is purely her sending lunatics that can kill hundreds alone and this should be expected by the other factions BECAUSE their society is this way but no one seems prepared for that.

The manga still good, really like this, but this one flaw is so glaring that i just cant shoo it away from buzzing on my ears.

@alacaelum If only that'd be the only one for me. They keep piling up the further I read. I don't actually recommend re-reading the first ten chapters --the whiplash will ruin this series for you. Really liked it at the start, too.

@Qwormuli Yeah the story has other flaws, from the top of my head there is pacing, incongruencies, and weak justifications, but to me, i can live with those, just the one i mentioned that really bugs me.

Bet there are more, but i forgot about them or they aren't the type that bugs me to notice, care to share what some of those that you find more aggravating? I am curious.

Its not even like these are supposed to be some ancient elder foxes or something either these are all a bunch of 20 somethings committing genocide in these little 2 man groups and none of the other races are doing anything about it or even attempting to do something at this point they don't even need the mcguffins they'll just wipe everyone else off the planet
