I wonder if they're going to make an explicit distinction between the terms "demon" and "devil" that have been thrown around in the last few chapters; i.e. something like "demons" are kemono that need to prey on humans while "devils" are just evil bastards like these kitsune. Whatever the specific connotations of "devil" are here, the factory manager seemed pretty upset that his boss would get in bed with them. Still they've sort of got him over a barrel here.

With the way Hinata's impossibly sharp sword shrinks for storage it seems like she might be an expert at transformation as well, unless it's some sort of special artifact. The antagonists get all the neat stuff, the return of Big Brother aside. Meanwhile, Shiki has apparently shown all his cards already so he's back to jobbing, but hopefully Akira gets another actual brief moment of competence here.

the problem with using wire is that it's just as easy to fuck yourself up while using it unless you have the right equipment prepared. just like wire can slice into the skin of flesh of whatever it's wrapped around, unless you've got something even tougher pulling, it very quickly does the same thing to your hands. one way to avoid that is by wrapping it around multiple times (by increasing the surface area, you decrease PSI), but I dunno how shiki's spiderjizz powers work. he doesn't seem to make them and THEN use them as a rope, but...

@Invader_Retro I think Akira and Shiki are going to be completely spent after dealing with the drone operator. Hinata and Robara's powers seem like they are set up to cause problems for Kabane specifically, since they might be able to impede Kabane's ability to heal instantly from any injury by inflicting wounds that don't count as "being damaged." Inugami will probably have his hands full dealing with the plant manager until they can get him back on-side.

@Alhazred23 "demon" is just a localization for oni, I'd prefer the scanlator either keeping it as "oni" or localizing it as "ogre" to this "demon" crap actually, at least "ogre" is used in-manga.

"Devil" here is 悪魔 (Akuma), commonly used for literal Christian/Abrahamic devils or the Devil himself, or as an umbrella term for evil mythical creatures, or just simply for evil motherfuckers. The oni consistently calling Robara and Hinata "devils" might mean they really were of the devil species, or the oni perceived the kitsune as malevolent assholes in general.

And hell yeah you were spot on about Robara's ability being a special type of transformation.

@Unlucky Well I was talking about the ogre guys in the meat plant in particular, and they *are* literal oni of Elevenland's lore (鬼)

Actually "oni" also includes vampires and ghouls because incidentally in moonrune their names contain the word 鬼
"Ghoul"'s is 屍鬼 (Shiki-literally corpse demon, remember that Shiki manga? Exactly). Kabane's namesake is very likely from 屍 (Shikabane) too

My rusty moonrune tells me in this part Inugami was talking about "tribes/clans with the word "oni" attached to their name", it was translated as "species with "demon" attribute"
"Vampire" is 吸血鬼 (Kyuuketsuki-literally bloodsucking demon)

The furigana for 吸血鬼 here is "Mihai-san" though. Kek.
