I feel no empathy for them, they've killed far too many people.
I don't know how the author expects us to show empathy to some shitbags who make furniture out of living humans.

Truthfully I can't feel bad for them. I get they got tortured and traumatized during their childhood but I feel that I would have been more empathic if everything they did was a result of trauma.
But her asking for a world in which he can kill and torture people and everybody would be happy about it is were I draw the line. I feel like it's one thing to want to be accepted for who you are, quite another to have others be okay with what you do to them.
I don't know if I'm clear on my thoughts, but so far I only like two foxes (I'm on the fence on a third one, because I feel they want to see their boss' world burn).

The crazy dude is born that way, and his actions are not really under his control. Its not like he can really do anything about it.
As the caretaker, his partner should have controlled his actions completely but she was unsuccessful. Now she is an enabler, letting others and herself suffer for love, fighting through guilt and madness.
There can be no redemption for them, but I still feel sympathy for the relationship they have.

@nanze I mean, at least them i can understand, they don't threat the humans badly and the kemono also eat each other, it's presented as an ecosysteme kind of thing but we'd need more info on what they do and how, because humans AREN'T an effective source of food.

That's like saying being anti-holocaust is a jewish-centric viewpoint. If a behaviour is causing harm to sapient people it is obviously morally wrong to the reader, and if the mangaka is going to try elicit sympathy from a human reader-base they're going to have to better than "he cares about the humans he breeds for the slaughterhouse."
