@KajurN how? from what i understand the moment she saw her daughter was proficient at magic she was no longer against her becoming a mage. if anything its her father who's self-centered. i mean he went so far as to pull her out of the academy because he thought she was being brainwashed. @Merilirem That's some major discrimination you have against novel readers. People who like posting spoilers will do it irregardless of novel, manga or anime. Only reason why you see more novel spoilers is because the others have no raws to spoil while novels are usually the original source of the story.

Yeah i don't mean for romance now lol. Its still normal for cute child crushes to happen at 9 though and if your gay you usually have gay crushes. Society and outside influence is the only reason it takes people so long to figure themselves out. Stunts growth.

Onto the matter of the excitement they have no excuse. She told them what she wanted and they tried to deny her. They still have yet to apologize or accept this as a mistake. They only allowed her any leeway because of her status and how hard she fought for it. Thats unforgivable as a teacher and any figure in a position of power similar to a parent.

As for the spoiler thats not a spoiler unless you know something specific we have yet to cover. We already got told that it caps out at 9999 so her actual affinities could be infinite for all we know. Also the line thing does NOTHING. You may not know this but while i may be slightly dyslexic i can read jumbled text with lines through it without blinking. So never use that method to hide stuff. I also read in chunks with scanning instead of line by line. By the time i see the page i can recall what was written even before i can comprehend it. This is why you need space between spoiler and the spoilers.

Its the casual nature in which they spoil thats troublesome. Also i said it was worse the closer to a source you get. For some reason people who read a novel will outright correct you on things when your theorizing. They will do this with a straight face like they did nothing wrong. It might be a personal bias but i have never run into as many serious spoilers as i have when around novel readers.

For instance when i got into HXH the manga was well documented and yet nothing. At best people hype spoil.

The spoilers i have for the novel of Konosuba however mean i may as well be up to date on it. I know less about season 2 despite having only watched the first episode than i do about everything beyond that. Luckily im not really a fan so its not so bad.

This is all just personal experience of course but novel readers have proven to me to be far more loose lipped than anyone else. As i said, if i don't put a disclaimer i almost always get hit with someone "answering my questions" or telling me im right or wrong about my theory or ship.

@Merilirem crushes usually don’t last but I mostly meant since she’s 9 I doubt they plan to explore it any further than what we see so far. I agree that they shouldn’t have restricted her, the doing both option would have been a better choice, but I just meant that in their excitement they didn’t think about her wishes. I had a feeling that was happened but I’m not sure why, as far as I knew that was the option for spoilers but now its doing a line through it instead, maybe I’m mixing up the things on the bar.

@Gotim18. I don't think the story will do it but a dead aunt is certainly a better motivation for him to hate magic. Aunt was overconfident but helpless when her magic failed, father doesn't want his daughter to end the same. Good drama but a bit too much for this manga I think.

@Drifter if she never shows up again regardless then it wouldn’t make a difference, but you’re right that it wouldn’t fit this type of series, however the other part is wrong as it wouldn’t be magic that killed her rather her overconfidence which can happen to a vanguard too. Though given how petty his other reasons were I’m likely giving him too much credit.

Seriously though, it's swordsman-ship, not swordsmans-hip. Also, the hyphen is important when you're breaking up a single word over two lines. Love the manga and the translation, but typesetting needs some work.
