The comedy of this manga comes from how awkward the 2 of them are so if they get together it at the very least means it'll be the end of us seeing them shipping Hikoichi and Nayu (unless the writer is very skilled and able to make it feel natural), the manga could continue on though by moving onto a new couple.

I feel dumb I did like a little fist pump when our boy finally spoke up, why is this manga so good at getting me invested

My bet's on the last/penultimate chapter, if it ever actually happens and doesn't just end unresolved. I don't think I've ever seen a series like this continue after the main couple gets together, except maybe a flash-forward at the end. I'm not even sure what chapters after that point would look like, considering the main focus is the 3 stooges shipping them lol. It might cause them to spontaneously explode or something.

I think so too. The whole plot revolves around will they get to know each other and date; so once that happens, the whole plot is resolved; there's nothing more to go off of. Introducing other thing will make that a totally different story at that point. So, it is a bit unfortunate, but we'll never see them date. One final or an epilogue chapter is the most we can hope for.

Very ironic, I ended up having to read this one twice because I kept getting distracted by the extra "s" in focused. Which I then had to look up and I guess "focussed" is more correct in british/australian english than american english?
Even the spell checker on my browser is saying with 2 s's is incorrect in this post >XD
