Sounds like you're not enjoying the series, which makes me wonder why you continue reading it?

If you have no faith in an author to, as you put it, not do dumb things, then why spend any time reading their work? You're just setting yourself up for disappointment that way.

At a certain point the 'joke' starts falling flat.

It's not like you can't go back and re-read the preceding chapters. Hell, it's even easier here, by virtue of them being only 4 pages long.

And it's not that difficult to parse the narrative, because multiple people have broken it down repeatedly each time a chapter has released, of late.

But then again it almost seems like all of the complaints of late are feeding into a bit, so if I'm raining on someone's parade then disregard me.

I don't know about Rock Solid when we're a couple chapters in and Aya and Mitsuki still haven't discussed the band situation, and Aya doesn't want to go home and talk about it.
