This situation desperately needs a man to step in and take charge, provide some structure, without all this overly emotional drama conjured from thin air by two people incapable of facing their issues head-on and playing weirdo mind games rather than just addressing issues directly.

People will give you the dumb reaction when the author made clear through prior drama and now this that Narita legit did solo carry their relationship and he most probably will step in here to do it again because both of them turn useless when pressed.

I also think conjured from thin air is the only proper way to describe it, absolutely agree.

Aya has been wishy washy going back and forth in a matter of panels and Koga is just overall insufferable.
The random nobody new friends also can‘t do jack shit.

Of course not, but I'm still allowed to get sassy at it. Plus, this is some weaksauce drama, because there's nothing actually going on, just our protagonists doing that thing where they're both quietly seething over something utterly inconsequential, but refuse to be the first one to address it, and only do this thing where they essentially vaguepost rather than talk frankly.

Right? It's extra infuriating because we know Koga can be all cool and assertive, but apparently that power is limited to wooing girls, and not anything actually useful.

I agree that neither of them are being any kind of productive now but we've seen Aya try and address the issue twice now before being shut down by Mitsuki trying to distract her with sex, and Ayas frustration the last time makes it seem that that happens fairly often.
The frustrations definitely gotten to her and she's being petty and sulking but I don't think it's fair to say that Aya hasn't been trying

I'm gonna say...I'm not enjoying this as much as before. Not for the drama itself (although I don't think it was needed at all), but for the fact that it doesn't make sense that before timeskip they were bettere at going forward and confronting and cheering the other up than they are now.
Both "regressed" basically. Nonsense

Feels like the author saw people enjoying the relationship drama, and decided that relationship drama is all the audience liked.
Like, c'mon, dude. There's so much other drama I want to be exploring! Passion draining from a hobby because it's turning into work, feeling like a failure because you just didn't mesh with a group, a lack of professional progress/advancement...
Nah, we're over here with a refusal to communicate and misunderstandings. Again.
Bleh. Old hat.

I'm just so tired of this. I dont get the drama, Its just so forced.

I have the same feeling that i had when reeding the sequel of kase san. No pleasure at all for a year and asking myself "author just wants them to breakup for nothing or what" ?

Yeah art is cool, but author's writing skill is questionable at this point.

This has been great. They're super close to the point of confronting each other and having the needed talk.

As for Mitsuki: I'm not sure how much she was aware of. They were both deliberately paying attention to other things and Aya is with friends. They're all with friends really, it's a small gathering so she might not have really noticed until the end there. There's not much danger though given it's essentially a family gathering and they're adults. She just leaned her head, not anything too crazy yet.

We stopped mid-moment so that makes the pause more impactful for dramatic effect but Mitsuki will likely react after this if she understands what's been happening. She might not know as much as the reader but we'll see. It could just look like Aya leaned on another girl, if Mitsuki hasn't noticed what was going on over there. That would explain the shocked face better. Should be interesting next chapter!
