This is some real shit right here. Every relationship has these moments in it. Where you feel like you're the only one still thinking about the love of it. It's not true, in equal relationships, it just feels like it is. Talk it out.

as long as Mitsuki actually goes over to Aya, the outcome doesnt matter to me, fight or reconciliation. if she turns away in fear or doesnt move at all to her side, it's already over for them.

This has been great. They're super close to the point of confronting each other and having the needed talk.

As for Mitsuki: I'm not sure how much she was aware of. They were both deliberately paying attention to other things and Aya is with friends. They're all with friends really, it's a small gathering so she might not have really noticed until the end there. There's not much danger though given it's essentially a family gathering and they're adults. She just leaned her head, not anything too crazy yet.

We stopped mid-moment so that makes the pause more impactful for dramatic effect but Mitsuki will likely react after this if she understands what's been happening. She might not know as much as the reader but we'll see. It could just look like Aya leaned on another girl, if Mitsuki hasn't noticed what was going on over there. That would explain the shocked face better. Should be interesting next chapter!
It seemed pretty pointed that Aya was sneaking glances at Mitsuki the whole time, and every time Mitsuki was very pointedly not looking her way.

She even comments on it, wishing Mitsuki would just look at her--and she finally does, just in time to see Aya rest her head on another woman's shoulder.

Which sorta would lead to Aya confirming that she's the only one in love/putting effort into their relationship, in her eyes, I expect.

That said, we do let off halfway through the moment, so no telling what Mitsuki's reaction will be outside of her dropping her drink in surprise.
Though Rinko being right next to her and also seeing it, when she knows that Mitsuki & Aya are dating and quite close, makes me think there's more in the tank before a conversation happens and we move toward the resolution phase.

The drama continues...
I hope Mitsuki finally realises that things can't go on like this - if they do, it might cause irreversible damage to their relationship...

Unrelated, but props to Rinko for catching another person's dropped glass. That's some impressive reaction speed :meguu:

Thanks for the upload!

have you tried eating barbed wire? I think you should eat a whole bowl, it'll be good for everyone
I'm sure you're aware of the irony that you're a reading a manga in which that very thing has happened multiple times already (the man stepping in to get these two idiots on track bit, obviously), yes? Like, the very story you're reading has set ample precedent. Surely you wouldn't make such an edgy comment while being so wrong, so I must assume you were having a giggle.

note the difference between what many others said, which is "character name should help them figure this shit out, he's done so before, he'd be really helpful right now", and something like "this lesbians need a man to sort them out"
just, think to yourself for a second about what the difference is
either that, or get eating

See, this kind of overly dramatic attitude is exactly why you need a rational dude to come in and cool tempers! Getting all heated, making mid-2000's-era internet edgelord comments over innocuous jokes. So emotionally unbalanced, gee whiz!

tbh at this point I don't even really care if they stay together. There's that little emotional investment for me at this point.

"Innocuous jokes" seems like something that is up to the audience to determine, not the person themselves making them.
Sarcasm is hard to detect on the Internet, sure, but you can't go getting indignant when people take your words at face value for the problematic nature they embody.
Especially when a chunk of the world today would very much unironically make those same statements with earnest and malicious intent. So you're welcome to get mad at someone getting upset at your "jokes", but--
I mean...jokes are supposed to be funny, last I checked. If no one but you is laughing, then I feel like that's a statement all its own.

Turning around and calling the person taking issue with you "emotionally unbalanced" is pretty edgelord behavior, as well. If you have to default to disparaging another person's character because you can't refute the content of their message, that's not exactly mature, either.
