After some digging i found out that this got cancelled due to author's personal circumstance (not axed or anything, the manga was doing pretty well at the time). It was really abrupt as well (like she was still posting ad on pixiv 3 days before the cancellation got announced). It was probably her health issues since she tweeted that she couldn't draw for a while (tho all her tweets b4 2019 were deleted so i can't verify), and then ppl said she lost interest (how this was cancelled instead of being put on hiatus); the only thing we know is this will never get the closure it deserves

I don't know if I'm imagining it, but I have the impression that manga have more chance to get axed or cancelled or abandoned if the mangaka is a woman and especially if the manga is not a shojo, is a shonen but not acclaim by everyone, is not ecchi.
Maybe I'm biased.

It's a shame that this was cancelled, the plot may have been pretty average but I enjoyed reading it, plus the art style was beautiful.

Nah, the planned marriage stuff is real tho not so much like the middle age kind of things. They might just plan it since child like the famous childhood friend or it can just be a simple let them know each other and talk about marriage when time is ripe. Also, being that Japan is an overly social place, I bet this kind of things is a common occurrence there.

I had a story but I will tell it as if it is in my perspective so I can convey the feeling better as if you read if from the person itself.

So I had this thing like my mom said there is this girl that is like me (not like=love, but like=same), like she love to play games and make mods for them (like alternative storyline, combat balance, new character, or remodel), albeit differently as I love mechanically heavy action and she love deep complex multi ending story. My mom want me to befriend her, so I did and it's going well until I know the background of it all and the two families (mine and her) been supporting each other since like they talk a year ago, like the same country but they just moved in to mine like 6 months ago. We aren't moving or anything and all stay the same then the marriage bomb dropped. It was like nothing at first but when I see our household's situation, it's like the better choice is for us to go together so to not make them worry much for our future. I told her (the girl I am friend with) all the things I noticed and she is good with it as in no objection to that. Being the good for nothing I am and she is, we decided to go with their plan. It put hold to anything that we love to do before and now all the things we do is work and consume, very little time to make something we like as a hobby like how we do before.
This can happen to some, albeit in different ways but it is always will be planned in some shape of form and the only time we get to know each other more is the time we be friends (some might go as far as dating and one proposing to one already) and in marriage life.
My life is what you would call a good boy/girl most parent want us to be, we usually are a good for nothing with many friends (an on board all party and overly dense kind of person person) or an overly good person with little to enough friends (a good honor student with very little circle kind of person) who got no boy/girlfriends in a bad household economy or a good household economy.
