There were a number of elements that could have made this a good long-running story. Stretch it out to thirty or so chapters.
I don't know if it was author immaturity or if it was the axe that made him rush, but there's no reason to demand the author stop writing/ drawing.

Sure there is. The author made a decent, interesting story with good characters. The author then, for no good reason, kills the story and characters (literally and figuratively). Honestly, I don't care if it was axed and the author "had" to wrap it up, there's plenty better ways to do it than this garbage, including just continuing it on their own outside of the publishers help or simply not continuing it. Doing what they did, assuming this wasn't the original intention of the story, is just disrespectful to both the story and to the readers. Hence, don't write again so they don't pull this kind of shit again, they've clearly proven they don't know how to write.

A hiatus for an entire year did definitely affect the run, I feel like the author was given a last chance to wrap up his work after the publishing house came to the conclusion that the manga won't bring any revenue, you can notice it by the sudden pace it has caught, definitely not a planned ending, most likely axe, so author is just putting the entirety of his planned storyboard in the last five chapters.

The madness of this rush after being told its being axed is feeling like its gonna lead to a TPD, sister starving self and going full on mad from guilt will likely have her end her self even if not actually pregnant which will push our boy over the edge if she dies too.

Yeah I completely agree with you. Author clearly is throwing a tantrum after this was axed and decided to go scorched earth on the story. I think I do remember also hearing that the author was frustrated that fans liked Kyou as the love interest more than Kagami, which seems odd given they draw mostly trap art and the way the whole story was set up in the beginning.

Seems they wanted this story to go an entirely different different direction than what fans wanted though and so killing Kyou off is the ultimate middle finger to everyone.

It's truly sad because they're a great artist and this could have been a solid trap romance story when there aren't a lot of good ones willing to commit to that in the manga industry.

I still don't get how Kyou died. At first I thought he got pushed off, but did Kagami's face just startle him so badly he fell off?

Also, since she's pregnant and there's only one chapter left, I feel like either her pregnancy will snap the MC out of it and he'll off her or maybe himself; she'll starve herself into a miscarriage, and she'll off herself from the guilt; or the ghost of Kyou will just drive Kagami psychotic enough to murder the MC. Bonus points if she kills the MC and then names the baby after him or Kyou.
