I'm just going with the flow on this but I can sympathize with hating it. I mean it feels like we started reading one thing and are now reading a completely different thing.
I mean I thought this was totally going to be a "Your Lie in April", "I want to eat your Pancreas", " I Sold Off My Lifespan, For 10,000 Yen A Year", or "Ai-Ren" sort of manga.
Y'know the type that relies rather heavily on romance with the foreboding subtext of tragedy looming overhead, where you know... you just know, that by the end of the manga it'll break your heart.
This does nothing to me because it's so flippant about it, the fantasy took over the realistic aspect and ruined whatever grounding it had.
So while I'm not emotionally invested, I'll continue reading it.
(Until it drags out the plot for 100+ chapters where it eventually loses whatever themes it had and meanders about pointlessly. In which case I'm out.)
