Ooouuuch this chapter did such an incredible job portraying what a shame spiral feels like.
You mess one thing up and suddenly every moment of shame and failure starts playing in your head one after the other. It's so easy to judge yourself and living at all as worthless if all you're thinking about is times when you suffered.
What should have been a moment of self-reflection and growth turns into a desire for punishment because of how inappropriately high the shame and stress levels become. We see this as she immediately repeats the verbal abuse she's recieved all her life and physically hurts herself in public, not even noticing anyone around her.
Important! She is not doing any of this on purpose! As she said, it all happens so automatically that she feels like it's the only way she can live. Unfortunately, there are no therapists in Japan apparently 🥲🥲🥲

I can understand the trauma but you have to realize that she did get another girl brutally gangraped and manipulated the same guy she convinced into calling said gang to also rape the girl too.
I do not feel bad for her because what she does hurts more people then herself, she's not a mutually beneficial parasite but the one that selfishly takes and takes and takes until it has taken everything it can from you before moving onto something else.
she's going isolate this guy she "loves" from everyone who cares about him, he's probably going to be in a worse off situation once this is done.
I do not feel sorry for this manipulative piece of shit and hopes the events of the first chapter comes to pass
