@AnimuVsMango in the original text, her name is written as 雪, which is the kanji for snow, but on the side the Katakana spells shi-yu-e, which is the Chinese pronunciation of the word. As for translating it as Shue instead of Xue, is because Shue is how you would spell it in English(Xue is how you would type it in Pingyin). The image below shows the two instances when they are used. The top one is used to address her so Shue(you can see the Katakana) and the bottom two describes the skin and heart as snow so snow(you can see the Hiragana). I hope this clears things up.
