The vast majority of streamer dont earn anything or fail miserably. An extremely small number of them get enouth viewer to survive, and most of those who survive are spending their life sellling their ass for some money.
Even the biggest streamer barly get any money with their add compared to TV, Radio or anything else.

Only a handfull know how to proprely negociate decent price, and even them dont get nearly as much as they should.

Because you like some streamer and it became trendy dont mean that it's some kind of great occupation with a bright future for the people doing it.
The amout of shady shit going on with these streamer, youtuber and else is massive. It is in no way better than a black company, for exemple it became a commonly know fact that a lot of these people use their position to abuse young girl and boy.

So yeah, some streamer are great, but people should stop have illusion and think that all of them are good people that do it to make other's people live brighter, when in fact the majority dont have any respect for their viewer and see them as cash cow.

Streamers don't earn money through ads though, they earn through merchs and sponsorships. Even moreso for vtubers even though they have a small community.

I uhhh barely remember what happened in this chapter... I literally typeset it last night right before I watched the lions game. Oh well, I think it was a good springboard for the next few chapters.

We're going to try and take the troll one level deeper, pretending to be a different group entirely. Next chapter should conclude our saga. I tried a similar layout for my initial credit page, boy am I glad I didn't go with that. It feels a bit too gaudy. As for the image, it is from the next chapter, but I made this while translating on a whim so yeah...

There should be a decently steady stream of releases for the next week or so? I'm going to try and get a bunch of chapters TLd and TS over the next two days since my team is playing out of state, and they aren't sending the band.

Sponsorship, donations and merch are the main source of revenue...

Sponsorship is just another name for ads. Ads are used for all type of media, but for streaming and video they dont use it because it have a negative image. Changing the name of somethings wont change the content. They are advertising shit for money.

Ads and sponsorship are the same. "sponsorship" just sound better for people.
I did forget the merchs. This is actualy a good way for them to make money without being exploited too much by huge company.

Should just tell him how much she earns. That's a much better argument than the emotional one he went with (though that wasn't bad). But that's assuming she does make a lot of money, which isn't a given since she's relatively new from my understanding. She does have some merch and she works for some company rather than alone, which gives her a bit more of a chance, but they might also take out a lot of it.

As much of a dick as the dad is, you can't say he's wrong, when he assumed she forced him into giving her a hand 😧

Yeah, he knows his daughter well enough. I hope that means he's not too terrible of a dad and actually cares about her.
