Isn't it funny how, in series like this, it tends to be that only those who live to harm others (read: fabricate forced drama for a plot tha doesn't need it) have the ability for basic deduction?

Every excuse it shot down by superior planning.

So not completely clueless. Though it's conjecture at this point.

Man, this guy sucks, doesn't he? And to be honest, I don't think this is a particularly well written series. 40 chapters with 4 "antagonists" (Mei-kun, Nina's dad, Nagi or whatever that thing's name was, and now seemingly this guy.)
Yeah, not really reading it for the antagonists, but they've got to make drama happen somehow...

If he finds it so difficult to say no, he should have just consumed less alcohol by ordering drinks with a lower alcohol percentage.
Or just drink slower, and alternate with water. Though personally, I find it hard to get that drunk without drinking hard liquor with a high alcohol percentage. Beer is just too much liquid to drink.

If he had even a little bit more guts, he would have ordered a big glass of beer and then used the opportunity to tell he needs to visit the loo, because it would indeed be the case, soon enough after the beer. Then he could have easily left the bar by using that opportunity. Just shout from the door that he needs to go, to let the others know, and immediately leave. That way nobody sitting next to him could cajole him to stay and drink more.

While I agree dude could use some more backbone. But on the other hand, it's just cultural difference man.

As an East Asian myself with over 10 years working office jobs, I've seen my fair share of the newbies getting pushed till they were out like dude here. Some of em even vomited right at the table, it wasn't pretty I'd tell you. And from what I've heard, the Japanese even got much worse working culture.

What kind of loser allows himself to pushed to drink more than he should (when he knows it himself), when the person doing the pushing isn't obviously drinking that much themselves? That was really pitiful. I have never lived in Japan, but I don't believe it works like that even over there, in those obligatory after work drinking parties. If he finds it so difficult to say no, he should have just consumed less alcohol by ordering drinks with a lower alcohol percentage. Now he built himself an image of a person who can easily be pushed beyond his limits, regardless of what's good for him. That's not a good image to possess at all.
ikr? It's like this guy has the spine of a shounen romance protag.

Honestly it might not even be intentional. During my mid 20ies I was quite a heavy weight drinker, especially if it were feasting occasions then I was usually out drank most people around me.
One of the reasons was because I always knew my pace and another was that I drank alcohol frequently so I intuitively knew how each type of alcohol affects me.
However, due to health issues (not related to alcoholism) I had to completely stop drinking alcohol, as my medication is incompatible with alcohol. This period of soberness lasted for a few years, until I was told that I don't have to drink my medication anymore and I am finally cured.

So as a result we went to celebrate with my friends and I was drinking in the pace I was used to in my "Prime". Oh, how much of a mistake that was, I was already decently in condition after a few shots of vodka, but at that time I thought that hey maybe I just not used to the sensation of being drunk, so I continued. NOPE it was not the sensation that was the issue, because after a few more shots I was already having a passionate and naughty stuff in my bathroom, too bad that it was just me hugging my toilet.

So it may be the same with him, he estimated him, he estimated his "strength" from his working days, but since he probably didn't drink much during his depression, he got nerfed hard, but didn't consider it.

I understand what you are saying (at least academically, since I never drank heavily even in parties with free booze), but that wasn't the case in the chapter. He didn't drink because he wanted to, probably because he knew his limits. He just couldn't say no to the colleague when she pushed him even a little bit. He first tried to refuse ordering more, at least at a fast pace, but when she asked the second time, his backbone turned into an overcooked noodle. Yet she was perfectly okay afterwards, apparently drunk as well but it doesn't really show when she's talking with stalker-kun, while the MC passed out. So, she actually controlled her own drinking, while the MC kept drinking witlessly, not daring to tell her he wants to stop.

Gf experience? Why would you even assume that?
Because I don't remember all the instances they have shown her doing her VT persona so I want to know if the other guy has even a speck of motive to be that crazy over her, like what happened with Rushia.

This chapter fucking sucked lol. The long sequence of "coincidences" made me want to rip my hair out. He drank until he was blackout drunk, everybody left, the only person remaining who could take him home is obsessed with his girlfriend, and then he left the lanyard in the car so he heard Nina's voice when he went to return it. Also unless I'm forgetting, there's no reason for Ao to have known the end time for the stream right? This was an unscheduled stream and he was unable to watch it. So whether it was after 11pm shouldn't have even mattered, right? Yet for some reason, he mentions it.

dont forget her manager freaked out because a guys voice was on stream. so it is very possible she is this kind of vtuber without her knowledge. (ie it was set up by the manager that way but never told her)
