Oh, thank god it was just the 2nd half of the chapter. I was like, Author, no, you can't put this much weight into a .5 chapter.

With that said. A heat stroke confession is one I have not seen in some time. He will surely not remember it, or at least pretend not to, to save face. But boy, if the Author makes them start dating, I won't believe it's real, it's gonna end in tragedy for our boy.

what a chapter, somehow all our expectations for the baton last chapter were subverted yet accurate(?), not to mention the bombshell

although, I hate to be this guy, but afaik this would most definitely be a foul pass. Not sure of the exact technicalities, but baton needs to be passed so that it is for the moment in contact with both runners. Throwing the baton would obviously be a lot faster than running otherwise

but, it was funny at least :pacman:

I'm so glad this manga is good enough cuz I always skip omakes typically.
Usually its a .1, .2, .3 or what have you

so many people were so sure he didnt have the baton last chapter, what a twist
So the blonde guy was being more of an asshole for laughing specifically at how Ujioka run and not because there was a genuine slapstick situation to laugh at

Oh, I hope they don't both lampshade the confession by chocking it up to heatstroke.
If they do that, I'll drop this manga.
This story has these two great characters with a fresh dynamic, and yet is constantly walking on a thin line between some new refreshing takes on romcom tropes and these same clichéd romcom tropes I've seen way too many times.

Author would probably do that the next chapter, and then a big "SIKE i did remember and i meant what i said" on the next next chapter
